What it is

A remake of my 2022 Trijam game. A wooden tray holds chunky tokens that stand for the things in a life; push two together and, if they have a recipe, they react. Press the hourglass, let a year pass and see how close to 100 you get.

Under the hood

  • 231 tokens, about 860 recipes and 87 events, so no two lives play out the same way.

  • Every picture, letter and sound is generated by code, with no third-party assets.

  • In the rules layer a flawless player reaches 100 on all but one of the 1,200 seeds I tried.

  • Daily Life gives everybody the same seed for the day, and the game runs on Windows, Linux, Android and in the browser.

Screens

  • A teenager's tray with a school token, while a neighbour brings medicine as a random event.
  • The Lifepedia lists every token and mix found so far, with the recipes for the selected token on the right.
