Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("User" or "you") and Code Scrambler Productions, operated by Rózsa Zsombor Botond ev. (sole entrepreneur, Hungary) ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of the website codescrambler.eu (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Site.

Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

Description of Services

Code Scrambler Productions operates a portfolio website and development blog featuring software development services. Our Services include:

  • Website: The main website (codescrambler.eu) which showcases our projects, provides a blog with programming content, and allows users to contact us.
  • User accounts: Users may create accounts to interact with community features such as blog comments and contact forms.
  • Blog: Programming tutorials, project updates, and educational content.

All of the above, as well as any content or features we add in the future, are considered part of the "Services" governed by these Terms. The Services are currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce new features or modify existing ones at any time.

Accounts and Registration

Account Creation: Some functionality may require you to create a user account. When you register, you will be asked to provide your name and a valid email address. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

Eligibility: By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, you must not register or use the Services.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

Limited License: We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Services and content for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

Trademarks: "Code Scrambler Productions," "Code Scrambler," and associated logos are our trademarks. You are not granted any right to use them without express written permission.

Prohibited Use of Name and Logo: It is strictly not permitted for any individual or entity other than Rózsa Zsombor Botond ev. to use the name "Code Scrambler Productions," any of its varieties (including abbreviations, translations, or similar names), or the Code Scrambler Productions logo for any commercial or impersonation purposes. Unauthorized use of our name, brand, or logo — including but not limited to creating derivative brands, impersonating Code Scrambler Productions, or using them in any commercial context without prior written consent — will be subject to legal action under applicable intellectual property and unfair competition laws.

Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy and understand how your data will be processed. The Services are operated from Hungary and we adhere to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Third-Party Services and Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or integrate features from third parties (such as Google sign-in). These are provided for convenience. We have no control over external sites and do not accept responsibility for them. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Code Scrambler Productions makes no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Code Scrambler Productions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed one hundred Euros (€100). This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as gross negligence or intentional wrongdoing).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Code Scrambler Productions from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from: (a) your use or misuse of the Services; (b) any User Content you submit; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights or applicable law.

Termination

By User: You may stop using the Services at any time. To delete your account, contact us at support@codescrambler.eu.

By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

Effect: Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law survive termination.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary. If you are an EU consumer, this does not deprive you of protections afforded by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Code Scrambler Productions.
  • Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations freely.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
