What it is

A cosy gallery sim about forgery. You copy public-domain paintings with a brush, hang the result and haggle with collectors; how accurate the copy is sets what it is worth. It is built for Android first, with Windows and Linux builds as well.

Under the hood

  • The score is the geometric mean of four components (composition, colour, shape and detail) instead of a pixel diff, so one weak part cannot hide behind three good ones.

  • A benchmark tool grades 16 synthetic attempt types against every reference painting, so I could tune the scoring on data rather than on feel.

  • I reproduce Android layout bugs on a headless emulator with scripted screen tours and real multi-touch, instead of eyeballing one phone.

  • Unity 6 (6000.3) with the Built-in render pipeline and plain C#. This is version 0.30, so it is still growing.

Screens

  • The gallery street from above: buyers talk about the paintings they saw, and two of them want to buy something.
  • The studio: a copy of Mondrian's Composition II in Red, Blue and Yellow on the easel, with the reference card on the left and brush tools on the right.
  • The appraisal: original and forgery side by side, scored on composition, colour, shape and detail, with 79% overall accuracy.
  • Haggling over a Mona Lisa copy: a collector opens at $364,500 and the player can accept, ask for more or pitch it.
